NWPA curriculum Intent:
Our curriculum at North Walsall Primary Academy is designed to deliver a broad and balanced education to all of our learners so that they are confident and able to lead successful lives. We work hard to ensure our students understand how their learning links to the wider world and receive opportunities to broaden their cultural capital so they become responsible citizens within their communities and make positive contributions.
Our MFL teaching focusses on enabling pupils to make progress in one language; Spanish. Our teaching provides an appropriate balance of spoken and written language. It enables pupils to understand and communicate ideas, facts and feelings in speech and writing, focused on familiar and routine matters, using their knowledge of phonology, grammatical structures and vocabulary. We also commit to the importance of a cultural understanding of Spanish and its impact on the world.
